Itsva Hernandez, violin

Itsva Hernandez has been a part of a program called Project STEP since 2004. Itsva began private violin lessons at age 5 with Amy Goodman until 2007. Itsva is currently under the tutelage of Mrs. Mariana Green-Hill (Artistic director of Project STEP) Itsva's performance venues include Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, The State House, John F. Kennedy Federal Building (Black History Month Presentations), Mary Eddy Baker Library, First Night Celebrations of Boston, The Copley Library, Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. Itsva has had the privilege of working with The Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra ,conductor Max Hobart, The Landmark Orchestra, conductor Christopher Wilkins, and currently performs with The Brookline Symphony Orchestra with conductor Adam Boyles.
Itsva is presently attending The New England Conservatory Preparatory School where she is a member of The Youth Repertoire Orchestra, conductor Jane Ezbicki. Itsva attends 8th grade at Southfield School in Brookline where she is concertmaster of The Southfield School Ensemble.
Itsva Hernandez is the first recipient of The Carriage House Violins Scholarship.
