Flutist Kristyn Moore is a proud Chicago native, but has called Boston home for the past three years. She recently completed her M.M. in flute performance at Boston University, where she spent time as the principal flutist of the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Prior to her transplant to Boston, Kristyn graduated cum laude from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s in performance. She has had the privilege of studying under Linda Toote, Mary Stolper, and Allison Domanus-Brady, and has performed in the masterclasses of Trevor Wye, Paul Edmund-Davies, Cynthia Meyers, Patti Adams, and Jonathan Keeble. Kristyn is not only an active freelance performer but a teacher as well, maintaining a private studio and serving as a staff member of the award-winning King Philip Regional High School band program. She is also a self-admitted wine snob, but usually refrains from any harsh judgment.
