Nayeong Cho, a violinist and Doctor of Musical Arts, is a native Korean born in Seoul. Dr. Cho has been in the spotlight in both Korea and the United States as a gifted violinist. She graduated the Yewon Art School under Sang-Soon Lee. While she was attending Seoul Art High School, she moved to the United States and attended Julliard School of Music for pre-college division with Dorothy Delay. She continued studying with Dorothy Delay as an undergraduate student, and transferred to Mannes College of Music studying under Dr. Chin Kim. She achieved her Bachelor of Music as a full scholarship student.
Dr. Cho studied at the Manhattan School of Music for both Master of Music and Professional Studies with Lucie Robert, and she received a President’s award. In 2013, Dr. Cho awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin performance from the Rutgers State University of New Jersey under a full scholarship and fellowship. She received numerous prizes from competitions including Gold top prize winner of Sun-Wha competition, Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition, and Mason Grosso Chamber Competition.
She had made many concerto appearances with major orchestras throughout Korea. These include Royal Korean Symphony Orchestra and Seoul Symphony Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center. She also appeared numerous recitals in Italy and the United States, and she performed at Carnegie Hall as a guest artist in 2007 and 2013. She invited the New York Summer Music Festival in 2010 as an assistant facuty. She joined Brookline Symphony orchestra in 2015
