Johanna Seale, viola

Johanna started on violin at age 5, and switched to viola (really a 3/4 sized violin with a C string) at age 9. She attended the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, MA, and received her Bachelor of Arts in The Comparative Study of Religion from Harvard College. Her viola teachers include Mai Motobuchi and Michael Zaretsky, and she has played with the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic, the Harvard Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and the Lowell House Opera. In addition to viola-ing, she serves as the Director of Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Milford, NH and as after-school teacher at the Orchard Gardens Pilot School in Roxbury, MA. She lives in Cambridge with her fiance.
