Andrew Heath

Trumpeter and conductor Andrew Heath enjoys a varied career in the Boston area in classical and contemporary pursuits alike. Performing frequently with the New World Symphony and the Aspen Music Festival, he has been named a two-time Semi-Finalist in the National Trumpet Competition. Working in orchestras under conductors such has Manfred Honeck, Ludovic Morlot, and Gerard Schwarz, his own conducting interests have brought him to the podium for projects such as Michael Torke's Mojave for vibraphone and string quartet, and commissioning several new works for the Pittsburgh Performance Innovation Ensemble. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Heath is a Master if Music candidate at the New England Conservatory, and is a Community Contributor at Venture Café Boston.
