Jane Kang

Jane Kang began studying violin at the age of 4. She was part of the pre-college program at Indiana University, studying with Mimi Zweig from the age of 10. During high school, she was the concertmaster of the Indiana All-State Orchestra, a member of the National High School Honors Orchestra, and performed the Mendelssohn violin concerto with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra. In college, she played with the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. She has been playing with the Brookline Symphony Orchestra since 2010, and has played with various other groups in the Boston area, including the Mercury Orchestra and the Lowell House Opera. Jane is a former high school mathematics teacher, and is currently a doctoral student in education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
