Jeffrey William

Originally from Long Island, New York, Jeffrey William moved to Boston in 2006 to attend the Tufts University School of Medicine.  He continued his medical training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he has since joined the faculty of the Division of Nephrology and Harvard Medical School.
He studied oboe with Suanne Stein, and briefly with Peter Smith of the Philadelphia Orchestra while attending the University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate studies in neuroscience.  He had the privilege of playing principal oboe with the New York All-State Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble in his junior and senior years of high school as well as with the Long Island Youth Orchestra. With this group, he has traveled to South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, playing concerts to support local charities in these regions.
Though a prior Brookline resident, he recently moved to Newton with his wife Vanessa and their son Benjamin (born in July 2015!).
