Anna Finley

Anna Finley began playing the violin at age 5, after seeing Yo-Yo Ma on Sesame Street (deciding, however, that the cello was “too big” for her). In her hometown of Pittsburgh, she studied with the incomparable Eugene Phillips, who gifted her with a reverence for the life-expanding pleasure of music. She continues to draw inspiration from her musical friends the late Klara Heilbrunn, and the late Lila Schantz. Anna works in Informatics at Philips Healthcare. She lives in Brookline with her husband, and her two young kids. Anna is thrilled to join Brookline Symphony Orchestra!
