Ethan Sobel
Ethan Sobel began his formal studies at age three with Mr. Carl Shugart, a Julliard graduate and student of Leonard Rose, continuing for over 15 years. He was a four-time Western, Massachusetts All-District cellist (including principal his senior year) and a three-time Massachusetts All-State Orchestra member. During his high school career, Ethan also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Longmeadow High School Symphony Orchestra. Ethan is a graduate of UMass Amherst with a bachelors degree in Business Administration, where he also studied for four years under the direction of Professor Astrid Schween. He holds a M.S. in Public Relations from Boston University, and currently is the Assistant Director at Boston University Hillel. When not on campus or in the practice room, Ethan is can be found as a team captain and former Board member for FLAG (Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Flag Football, or touring the state, sharing his personal narrative with Greater Boston PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays). Ethan currently resides in Cambridge, MA.
