Georgia Luikens

Georgia began learning the violin when she was four in a Suzuki program in Sydney, Australia. She has performed in a variety of ensembles in Australia and the United States including the Sydney Youth Orchestra, University of New South Wales Orchestra, UNSW Camerata, Penn State Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras, Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra, Lowell House Opera Orchestra, Metro West Opera Orchestra, Boston Unhinged Players, and the Irving Fine Society, as well as countless opera and musical theatre pit orchestras. Prior to moving to the United States for grad school, she also sang with the Sydneian Bach Choir. Georgia has undergraduate degrees in music and English from the University of New South Wales and a doctorate in musicology from Brandeis University. She is currently a lecturer at Brandeis and also teaches at the university’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
