Joseph Park

Joseph hails from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He began playing the violin at the age of 8, inspired after hearing the Mendelssohn concerto on the radio. He studied with John Curro, participated extensively in the high school music program and the Queensland Youth Orchestra, and completed his performance diploma (Associate in Music, Australia, awarded with distinction) at the age of 16.

Joseph completed his bachelor studies in molecular biology and global health at Princeton University (2013) and is currently a doctor-in-training at Boston University School of Medicine. He has a penchant for studying infectious diseases and has spent extensive time researching really dangerous microbes as a medical fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (2015-2018).

In his spare time, Joseph likes to try out fusion recipes, go kayaking on the Charles and learn new languages. He is also currently trying to build a pipe organ from scratch.
