Laura Fanning

Laura Fanning is originally from Buffalo, NY, and at the age of eight she began her violin studies with Frances Kaye of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. She received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College, where she studied violin with Anthony Princiotti and served as principal second violinist in the Dartmouth Symphony. She played in the Greenwich Village Orchestra in New York while earning her medical degree at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and then moved to the Boston area to complete her medical residency and fellowship training. Currently, Laura works in Patient Safety in the pharmaceutical industry. She enjoys playing chamber music and running, and is a current violin student of Hsin-Lin Tsai.
