Peter Kronheimer

Peter grew up in the UK, where he took up the horn at age nine. He studied with Ifor James throughout his teens, playing in the National Youth Orchestra before going to Oxford. There he played principal horn in as many ensembles as he could manage, and appeared as concerto soloist with the Oxford University Orchesta and the Hertford College Orchesta. Peter moved to the Boston area in 1995, and after a quiet period lasting close to twenty years, he is now very happy to be blowing his horn once again, with the Brookline Symphony. A mathematician at Harvard University, Peter lives in Newton with his wife Jenny and his two sons, Matthew and Jonathan.
