Stephanie Wingfield, Principal Cello

Stephanie Wingfield started playing the cello at age 12. She began formal cello studies with Eleanore Schoenfeld and continued them with Lawrence Lesser at New England Conservatory while attending MIT, where she was principal cellist of the MIT Symphony and a regular participant with the MIT Chamber Players.  Stephanie is a prize winner of the Chamber Music Foundation of New England’s Ensemble Competition and joined the Brookline Symphony in 2013. She has led a rich and varied professional life as an urban high school math teacher, a recording device expert (www.wingfieldaudio.com), a freelance musician, a lawyer, and an architect.
